File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is one of the simplest ways to exchange files between computers on the Internet. With FTP client software or web browsers, after logon to the FTP server, users can manage files in their own directories on the IdealBT NAS. For those users who do not have an account, they can access public files using anonymous FTP.
BitTorrent is one the most popular peer-to-peer file sharing protocol. Using our user-friendly web-based interface provided in the IdealBT NAS, users can insert BT jobs with their corresponding torrent files and activate continuous download without turning on their PC. The files those are downloaded completely can be moved to users¡¯ PC easily by SAMBA or FTP.
PPPoE is a specification for connecting the users on an Ethernet to the Internet through a common broadband medium, such as a single DSL line, wireless device or cable modem. With user IDs and passwords which are given by the ISPs configured appropriately, IdealBT NAS is able to connect to the Internet easily.
